You know what time it is: monthly favourites time! July has been… pretty interesting. We threw a teddy bear picnic in our living room, casually met Elsa from Frozen down the shops and booked a trip to Chessington! So I guess all that’s left to share is what bits and bobs I loved this month!
Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert
This is, hands down, the best book I’ve ever read on creativity. It’s really opened my eyes to why I create and has inspired me to have more fun with it rather than being too strict with myself.
Designated Survivor (S3)
Season 1 was a big hit with us but season 2 felt like more filler than anything else which was disappointing. So when I saw the trailer for the new episodes, I was a little sceptical but I needn’t have been. Season 3 was great!
The threat to national security was really thrilling which made this an easy binge-watch. My only gripe was that the best character was killed off but that’s just how TV works, right?
Okay so this might not be the best movie ever made but I still really enjoyed it. It’s a Netflix thriller about a woman who loses her memory during a terrifying altercation and is then sent home with her stalker who is pretending to be her husband. What’s not to love? It’s a perfect watch for thriller fans.
How to Get Away with Murder (S5)
You heard that right – AK and the gang are back! HTGAWM is one of my absolute faves. I can’t get enough of it. This season there’s a new murder (obviously) and we’re left watching each episode trying to piece together who’s the victim, who’s the perpetrator and why. I have my theories but I’m rarely right with this show so…
