August 2019 Favourites

September 2, 2019 in Lifestyle

Another month of the year has vanished into thin air and now I’m only a few weeks away from marrying my soulmate before embarking on a fantastic Disney-moon. The next few months of my life are literally what dreams are made of. But right now, let’s reflect on all the things I loved last month.

Manifest

Just. Wow. Ever since I saw the trailer, I was dying to watch Manifest. Despite having a 1 year old who gets arsey any time we dare put something on the TV that doesn’t interest him, we somehow managed to binge-watch this in one weekend. It was amazing.

I was completely engrossed slash obsessed for those two days of my life. It’s honestly a mind-blowing series. So much to love. It’s got suspense, mystery, special powers/premonitions and more than a handful of jaw-dropping twists.

All I can say is I need season two. ASAP. Please and thank you.

Psych

How have I never watched this before? It’s great! I’ve only managed to get through a few episodes so far but it’s more than earned itself a spot on my August favourites list.

The Last Night at Tremore Beach by Mikel Santiago

Have you ever read a book that genuinely stole you from reality and held you prisoner in someone else’s nightmare? That’s exactly what this book did to me.

It might even be the best book I’ve read all year. I can’t get over how dark and captivating it was. I also loved how the supernatural played a part in what was a perfect thriller.

Alice Vitrum Sale

Like a moth to a flame, I was drawn to the sale on the Alice Vitrum site. I couldn’t help myself because all the Disney inspired pins are amazing. Somehow I only spent a fiver and wound up with some seconds pins that I’d been eyeing up for ages!
